Common Objects Token Test
The COT Test app helps you evaluate pediatric recipients with a combination of toys and digital interaction. This complex closed-set sentence test is for recipients ages 3 years & older. It’s designed to assess speech perception and auditory memory skills. The app lets you create profiles, organize patient files, and easily share test results by email.
The COT app is an effective way to assess children who are able to complete closed-set tasks but who aren’t quite ready for open-set tasks. This is particularly useful with children not yet able to complete the more complex closed-set tests such as Tyler-Holstad or open-set tests such as GASP.
The Common Objects Token Test is available on IOS and Android devices as a lite version (free) and full version (2,99 €).
Auditory Skills Checklist
Listening is an ever-changing process. This auditory skills checklist is designed to help you track the progress of pediatric recipients and set auditory goals in therapy. The app uses multiple-choice questions to determine if a child responds to auditory cues without visual aids.
This app is easy to use and is helpful for monitoring the development of a child’s auditory skills over time. The evaluation also includes scoring, to make it easier for you to objectively evaluate and track progress. The results of the test can easily be shared by email and discussed with parents or other professionals.
The Auditory Skills Checklist is available on IOS and Android devices as a lite version (free) and full version (2,99 €).
The Hear Today app is a helpful way to supplement a rehabilitation programme for adult cochlear implant recipients. The app is designed for recipients and guides them through the process of rehabilitation, discusses expectations, and offers strategies to communicate better in everyday situations.
This app helps encourage and motivate recipients as they adapt to hearing with an implant. There’s a self-evaluation so that recipients can set realistic individual auditory goals. As users progress, they are guided to more challenging exercises and advanced listening goals.
As a professional, you can use this app for assessment, planning, and goal setting. The twelve daily life goals included in the self-assessment can be discussed with the recipients, and together you can decide on the next auditory goals to focus on. This can be a good place to start planning the individual therapy for a recipient. Also, the practical tips in the app can give you additional ideas for helping recipients to improve listening skills for each level and goal.
The Hear Today app is available on IOS and Android devices as a lite version (free) and full version (2,99 €).
